Who we are

Organización Transgenero 2000 (OT2000) offers volunteer-led, community-based support rooted in lived experience and mutual care.

We walk alongside other transgender Latine individuals and their families and friends, offering guidance, connection, and support as they navigate urgent needs and long-term goals. While we are not formal case managers, we serve as trusted community advocates helping individuals access resources, build resilience, and meet community to feel less alone.

Our services include:

  • Bi-weekly Peer-Led Support Groups & Mentorship facilitated by trans and queer community members, meeting the first and last Fridays of the month, where folks can converse together and find support. Details here.

  • Community Advocacy & Resource Navigation to help access healthcare, legal aid, housing, and social services.

  • Gender-Affirming Care Support, including transition-related advocacy and recommended referrals for transgender related healthcare.

  • Crisis Support & Accompaniment for individuals facing extreme vulnerability, ex: hate crimes, domestic violence, xenophobia, etc.

  • Non-Judgemental Family & Loved Ones Support to promote safe, affirming environments for transgender people and those who care for them.

  • Systems Navigation & Advocacy to help individuals understand and overcome structural barriers
